We recently arrived in Paris, and we are in love with it already! Paris is such an amazing city, and we are very lucky to have found an apartment in such a great location. After a nice train ride from Amsterdam, we hopped on the metro, and got off right at the Arc de Triomphe. Our apartment is just up the road from the Arc, so we get to see it every time we head out to explore.
The weather here has alternated between sunny and rainy, but we are happy that the temperatures are getting warmer. Our first venture out was to visit perhaps the most iconic landmark of the city: the Eiffel Tower. The iron lattice tower was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Originally erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair, it has become both a global cultural icon of France, and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest structure in Paris, and the most-visited paid monument in the world.
And, here's a little flash back from the last time Laura was in Paris... (please refrain from making fun of my awkwardness; I was in a "tomboy" phase!)
